Ellen Taussig Executive Director

Ellen Taussig is a professional educator who brings to ILAE over 40 years of experience as a successful leader in secondary education. She co-founded The Northwest School in Seattle WA in 1978 and served as its head until her retirement in 2011. Ellen has an MAT from Yale University.

Niomi, an Ethiopian American, is an attorney with Campiche Blue Arnold, PLLC. She has a BA from Washington State University and a JD from DePaul University College of Law.

Bee has over 15 years of experience in finance, focusing on research and investment management. She grew up in Malaysia and has lived in Hong Kong and the US. She has a B.A. from Yale University.

Dr. Neal Sobania Vice President

Neal has been involved with Ethiopia for nearly forty years, first as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer and now as a scholar. He is the Executive Director of Wang Center for Intl Programs and Professor of History at Pacific Lutheran University. He has a B.A. from Hope College, an M.A. from Ohio University, and a Ph.D from the University of London.

Jim Miller

Jim has experience in international Information and Communications Technology (ICT) program development, educational technology, non-profit management, and strategic planning. His work on interactive communications systems has supported communications and on-line access for students in developing countries. Jim is a graduate in Physics from the University of Arizona and attend graduate school at Farleigh Dickinson University.
